Clear medium Ruby color. Dark ripe berries, flowers and anis on the nose. Juicy and fresh with great intensity. Rough and rustic tannins with a long and bold finish.
Fragrant bouquet with captivating purity, a nose everyone will love. The palate is mdium-bodied with crunchy tannins, a fine thread of acidity with a flinty, dessicated orange peel tinged finish. Superb.
As its name indicates, it is made with grapes from five lieux-dits, named vine plots in a specific geographical location: En Motrot, Au Vell, Combe du Dessus, En Champs, and En Dere.
These five vine plots are situated on the northern slope of Gevrey-Chambertin called the Cteau de Brochon. Thanks to the small, concentrated berries produced by these plots of old vines, we find here all the richness and fruitiness of a Gevrey-Chambertin, its velvety smooth tannins, its superb freshness and its length on the palate.
